Feel and Function Better

Identify and correct the root cause of your symptoms and optimize your health with clinical nutrition & functional medicine.

Do you ever feel like your body just isn’t cooperating with you, no matter what you do?

Have you been to multiple doctors, only to be told that “everything looks normal, you’re fine” while feeling far from it? Have you tried navigating your health journey on your own, but feel overwhelmed and confused in the sea of conflicting information online? Are you searching for real answers instead of quick fixes that leave the underlying problem unresolved? You’re not alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated, overlooked, and ready for a real, personalized approach to health and healing.

A woman with red hair rests her forehead on her hand, appearing fatigued or stressed, representing health challenges addressed by functional medicine.

Maybe this sounds familiar…

  • Gut issues like stomach pain, reflux, gas, bloating, constipation, or diarrhea make it hard to leave the house

  • You feel paralyzed by chronic pain like headaches, migraines, body aches, or joint pain

  • It seems like no amount of sleep or caffeine can fix your constant fatigue

  • You’ve tried every product out there for your eczema, psoriasis, or hair loss, but nothing seems to help

  • Anxiety, depression, and/or ADHD make every day feel like a battle

You deserve a better, more effective approach to health and healing.

At Biome Functional Medicine, I believe that your health is a reflection of your body’s unique needs, history, and biochemistry. My approach goes beyond surface-level symptom management to assess and address the underlying imbalances contributing to your health concerns.

The result? A roadmap that’s as unique as you are and designed to support your body’s ability to heal, so you can (finally) Feel and Function Better™.

phase 1 — understand your health from the inside out

We start by taking a deep dive into your health story—your symptoms, lifestyle, history—so we can really understand what's going on beneath the surface. From there, we use targeted lab testing to get a clear picture of your body’s unique biochemistry. This part of the process is about getting to the root of what’s driving your symptoms, giving us the information we need to create a plan that’s tailored just for you.

INCLUDES:

  • 75-min initial consultation

  • Lab test ordering and analysis (cost of labs not included)

  • 75-min lab review appointment

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All appointments are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom. This allows me to provide the same high-quality care as an in-person visit while eliminating the need for you to travel to a physical office.

  • While I’m able to work with patients in most states, there are some states with regulations currently in place that prevent me from offering my services. These states include: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Tennessee.

The good news is that things are changing, and as more people become familiar with the life-changing potential of functional medicine and clinical nutrition, laws will be updated (they already have been in some states!). So, I hope to be able to serve patients in the states listed above in the near future.

  • Biome is a cash practice and does not bill to insurance. Operating a cash practice allows me to offer more personalized care without the restrictions imposed by insurance companies on what kind of care I can provide.

If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you may be able to use those funds to pay for my services, labs and/or supplements that are recommended to you as part of your care. Please contact your FSA/HSA provider to verify this.

  • The cost of labs can vary depending on the specific tests needed to assess your unique health concerns.

Typically, most functional lab tests range from $200 to $500 (per test). I strive to keep testing costs as transparent and accessible as possible, with all labs provided at cost. During your initial consult, I’ll determine which tests are most relevant for you, ensuring you’re only paying for what you genuinely need.

  • The number of follow-up appointments each person needs varies based on their unique health challenges and goals. Many people need a few months of active care to see meaningful changes, while others may need longer-term support to address deeper imbalances. We’ll work together to determine what makes the most sense for you, adjusting as needed to ensure your progress and success.

  • It depends — the path to healing and better health is unique for each and every person. It's important to remember that if you're dealing with chronic health issues, these likely didn't develop overnight but over years (even decades!). Likewise, healing also takes time, as your body begins to respond to new, healthier patterns.

However, this doesn't necessarily mean you'll be waiting long to feel better. Many people start noticing some positive changes in their symptoms relatively early in the process — these initial improvements are encouraging signs that you're on the right path. It's about setting realistic expectations and being patient with yourself as your body heals. Each step forward, no matter how small, is a victory in your journey toward better health.
